Free Spanish and French Finance Tools Explain Credit, Remittance Costs and Holiday Discount Math for 2026

Two Spanish-language personal finance sites are publishing free, plain guides for borrowers who are often left out of mainstream advice: Spanish-speaking households in the United States and people in Colombia with a negative credit report.

Raices Finanzas (Raíces Finanzas) explains credit, ITIN numbers, banking, remittances, insurance and loans in Spanish, whether a reader has a Social Security number, an ITIN or neither yet. With 2026 bringing a new 1% federal tax on remittances paid in cash or by money order, effective January 1, 2026, the site's remittance guides compare what families actually receive when sending money abroad, including to Mexico. Other guides cover ITIN loans, banks that accept an ITIN, building a first U.S. credit history, bad-credit and payday loan costs, and car insurance without a U.S. license. A free loan calculator estimates monthly payments.

"Many of our readers are making their first financial decisions in a new country, in a second language," said Kyle Star, founder of Raices Finanzas. "We try to show the total cost before anyone signs anything."

Credito para Reportados (Crédito para Reportados) is an independent guide for people in Colombia who are reported in credit bureaus such as DataCrédito. It explains that Colombian law neither bans lending to reported borrowers nor requires lenders to approve them, and it shows the current legal usury cap, with figures checked against the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia and the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. Free tools include an interest rate converter, a loan simulator, an amortization table and a debt capacity calculator. The site discloses when it may earn a commission from a lender link.

For French speakers, Calculatrice Pourcentage offers a free percentage calculator with no sign-up. It handles a percentage of a number, a share of a total, change between two values, adding or removing a percentage, and finding the starting value, and it shows the formula for each result. Ahead of holiday sales, its guides explain why a 20% discount followed by a 10% discount is a 28% total discount, not 30%.
